Street Guide is built by Filip, a traveler and writer currently living on Khao San Road in Bangkok. The idea is simple: most travel guides are written by people who visited a place for three days, or worse, never went at all. These guides are written by someone who lives there.
Why this exists
If you've ever searched for "best bars on Khao San Road" and gotten a listicle full of places that closed two years ago, you know the problem. Travel content online is dominated by SEO farms, sponsored posts, and copy-pasted recommendations. Street Guide is the opposite: honest, opinionated, and updated by people who walk these streets every day.
How it works
- Local verification — Every business is visited in person. Hours, prices, and quality are checked regularly.
- Real photos — No stock images. Photos are taken on location.
- AI-assisted writing — Content is written with AI assistance for clarity and consistency, but all facts, opinions, and recommendations come from local experience.
- Regular updates — Businesses open and close constantly. Guides are updated as things change on the ground.
